We sat together for two hours that morning while he read me the entire book and told me stories about my ancestors.
We laughed, we cried, and drank our coffee together. And when it was time to go, I packed up my camera bag and trusted that Uni would show me what to do with all this footage when the time was right.
...
Which brings us to right now.
From this page on, I will be writing from my real-time perspective of watching this album unfold using this interview with Papa as my guide. My hope is that you feel you’re turning the pages of my diary.

Well it’s 7:00 pm and I’m sitting here still writing this post that was supposed to go out at 5:00 pm. Pretty much sums up my world for the last month.
I decided in January to split my album release into chapters instead of doing it all at once like last time. It felt far easier only having to write and perform a few at a time with all the preparation for The Happy Healing Festival.
My thought was to do one show per season, starting with a winter show.
Which felt nearly impossible considering I had only one song written for this album. But I wanted to get started anyway so I reached out to my two new friends, Autumn and Elijah to see if they would want to help. They both said yes and suddenly I felt a gust of wind fill my sails.
Somehow in two very short months, we have worked together to build this first show SNOWBOUND Poems from Willow Creek Chapter One happening Friday March 4th.
I can’t wait to see what happens. I’m nervous. I hope Papa likes it.
